How do you make your boxes?
All of our boxes are handmade from start to finish, meaning every item is unique and one-of-a-kind. We specially select hardwoods for both their beauty and durability, with inherent, rich colors that require no stain so colors will never wear off but stay warm and luxurious for years to come. Boxes will last a lifetime, and may even be passed down for generations.
What materials do you use?
We only work with domestic and exotic hardwoods. Many mass-produced boxes on the market today use computers and lasers with soft, inferior woods like pine and oak that easily splinter and chip. But hardwoods are strong and durable, with distinct character and beauty that helps our boxes showcase the treasures kept inside.
How long does shipping take?
We provide free UPS Ground shipping to anywhere in the United States. Most boxes have a 3-day processing time, though it’s often quicker. Boxes with permanently sealed photo frames have a 10-day processing time.
Do you do any custom work?
Sorry but no, we don't do custom work. However, there are occasionally slight variations to the size of what we offer so do reach out with any inquiries.
How does the permanently sealed photo frame work?
Just email us the photo you’d like to use, referencing your name or order number. We’ll print it and seal under a 1/8” thick layer of crystal clear epoxy. The lid insert is sized for a 4 x 6 photo, so if there needs to be any adjustment to your photo we’ll contact you first.
What is a memory box?
A memory box (sometimes called a keepsake box) is typically made from wood and used to store items that hold sentimental value such as photographs, letters, mementos and memorabilia. Memory boxes are often purchased or given as gifts to commemorate major life milestones such as weddings, christenings, graduations, birthdays and more.
How do you fill a memory box?
Start with a box! There are many different types and styles to choose from. Then find items that hold special importance to you - for example photos, ticket stubs, cards, music or a recorded message. Put your treasures into the box and keep it somewhere safe and easily accessible - so you can add more memories whenever you want.
What is a keepsake box?
A keepsake box (sometimes called a memory box) is typically made from wood and used to store mementos of a special time, event or person. Often purchased to mark major life events such as weddings, christenings, birthdays or First Holy Communions, they might also be given for bereavement or sad occasions to help with the grieving process. This sort of keepsake box might be personalized with an individual’s name or picture.
What goes into a keepsake box?
Keepsake or memory boxes contain items that hold special importance for the person, time or event for which the box is intended. For example, a baby keepsake box might include ultrasound pictures, the hospital band and hat, first teeth and lock of hair, baby shower cards and announcements, etc. Creating keepsake boxes for travels is also popular and might include photos, tickets, brochures, souvenirs, maps, etc.
Is a memory or keepsake box a good gift?
Memory and keepsake boxes make fantastic gifts because they offer a more personal element and provide a long lasting, tangible way to preserve memories.
How long will a keepsake box last?
The quality and durability of a keepsake box will determine how long it lasts. Our boxes are meticulously handcrafted from the highest quality hardwoods and therefore will last a lifetime - or multiple generations. Less expensive, mass-market boxes are often made of thin, low-quality wood that will fade, chip or crack within a few years. When it comes to safeguarding your treasures, the type of box you choose makes a difference.
What is a memorial box?
A memorial box is typically made from wood and offers a heartfelt tribute to deceased loved ones, by storing items that represent the lives they lived. Oftentimes memorial boxes will be personalized with a loved one’s picture.
What goes into a memorial box?
Memorial boxes contain items that help loved ones remember the deceased, and in some cases might even hold ashes within a cardboard urn. Typical items include photos, notes or letters, jewelry, awards or newspaper clippings, the funeral service sheet, etc.
